Eligible employees who have not
yet re-registered for municipal
elections in Leaksville and Spray
will need to do so not later than
April 22. In the new registrations
which began April 8, the -ejistrar-
will be at the Leaksville Town
Office and at the Town Hall in
Spray from 9:00 a. m. until 5:0J
p. m. Monday through Friday,
and from 9:00 a. m. until 6:30
p. m. on Saturday.
In calling for compleie new reg
istrations to bring the town books
up-to-date, Leaksville and Spray
officials emphasized that all prev
ious registrations are now void,
and that only those citizens who
re-register will be eligible to vote
in the town elections May 2, and
in future municipal elections.

Roberts Chosen Head
Of Controllers Group
Richmond R. Roberts, treasurer of
Fieldcrest Mills, Inc., has been elected
president of the newly-chartered Caro-
linas’ Control of the Controllers Insti
tute of America.
He was elected at a meeting in Char
lotte April 7 when the new unit, cover
ing CIA members in North and South
Carolina, was chartered. The charter
was presented by Frank S. Capon, vice
president of DuPont of Canada, Montre
al, president of the Controllers Institute
of America.
Mr. Roberts has been associated with
Fieldcrest Mills, Inc., since January,
1957 and immediately before coming
here was staff assistant to the treasurer
of the General Electric Company, New
Canaan, Connecticut.
He is a native of Wise County, Vir
ginia, and a graduate of Emory and
Henry College. He was employed by
General Electric in various capacities
in their accounting, financial and opera
ting departments for 20 years.
As staff assistant to the treasurer, he
specialized in cash flow and cash and
banking procedures. He earlier was
controller of the Metallurgical Dept,
in Detroit and served in staff and man
agement positions for General Electric
in various parts of the country.
