Young Cheerleaders At Draper Y. M. C. A. * "Of-, || ^ ' ^ *iy^ /'C A part of the fighting spirit of the Gra-Y football teams at the Draper YMCA may be due to the enthusiasm shown by members of the Draper YMCA cheerleaders squad shown above, most of whom are daughters or granddaugh ters of Fielderest employees. Composed of girls 11 and 12 years old who attend the Draper Junior High School, the squad was organized by the girls themselves. Miss Brenda Powell, women’s physical director at the Dra per YMCA later took them over, super vised their practices and arranged for them to attend, and lead cheers at, the Gra-Y games. Left to right are Sharon Minter, mas cot; Ruth Ann Foster, Janice Combs, Susan Moore, Shelia Marlowe, Brenda Powell, Linda Minter, Gloria Jones and Cathy Pruitt. Brenda Powell, women’s physical director, is not shown in the picture. Also missing from the picture is Susan Somers.
