Employees’ Children Receive College Degrees Pictures here show new college grad uates from Fieldcrest-connected fami lies. Although there were other sons and daughters of Fieldcrest employees who graduated from colleges or universi ties early in June, those shown are the only ones for whom photographs had been received. Jane I. Garrett graduated from Wom an’s College, University of North Caro lina, with an A.B. degree in Education. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reu ben H. Garrett, of Draper. Her father is head of the Draper Standards Depart ment. Robert Warren Stephens received his B. S. degree in Business Administration from Davidson College. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Stephens, of Leaksville. His mother (Mary) is an or der and invoice clerk at the Karastan Service Center in Spray. Joan Overby Hall received her A. B. degree in Biology from Woman’s Col lege. She is the wife of Roger Hall, of the Winding Department at the Bed spread Mill and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Overby, of Spray. Top Weavers, Fixers Given Recognition Top quality weavers and loomfixers at the Towel Mill are listed below for the most recent periods of record. The “Weavers of the Week” are those with the lowest i>ercentage of seconds with respect to the standards for the various loom groups. The “top” loomfixers are determined through a combination of low seconds and high loom efficiency on the sections for which they are responsible.
