Two Are Appointed Trainees At Greenville f THE M C. A. DAVIS, JR. Two new employees, Charles A. Da vis, Jr., and Thomas R. Smithwick, have been appointed trainees at the Karasitan Spinning Division and are engaged in training assignments at Greenville. Mr. Davis worked on production jobs in various Fieldcrest plants in the Tri- Cities during the summers while at tending North Carolina State College where he majored in textiles. Mr. Smithwick was a standards engi neer at the Automatic Blanket Plant in Smithfield before his transfer to Greenville. He is a native of Windsor and is married to the former Sara Lancaster, also of Windsor. They have three children. The “Weavers of the Week” are those with the lowest percentage of seconds with respect to the standards for the various loom groups. The top fixers are determined through a combination of low seconds and high loom efficiency on the sec tions for which they are responsible.
