Two new employees, Charles A. Da
vis, Jr., and Thomas R. Smithwick, have
been appointed trainees at the Karasitan
Spinning Division and are engaged in
training assignments at Greenville.
Mr. Davis worked on production jobs
in various Fieldcrest plants in the Tri-
Cities during the summers while at
tending North Carolina State College
where he majored in textiles. He is a

native of Leaksville and is married to
the former Fay Simpson of Spray. They
have a year-old son.
Mr. Smithwick was a standards engi
neer at the Automatic Blanket Plant
in Smithfield before his transfer to
Greenville. He is a native of Windsor
and is married to the former Sara
Lancaster, also of Windsor. They have
three children.
