These members of Girl Scout Troop 53 at Draper are daughters of Fieldcresters. Girl Scouts Learn Bowling At ‘Y‘ Girl Scouts from the 24 - member Troop 53 at Draper learned bowling at the Draper Y.M.C.A. as part of the re quirements for earning a sports badge. Charles Myers, general secretary of the Draper Y.M.C.A., instructed the Scouts in scorekeeping and fundamentals of the game. The Scouts studied and practiced Has 76th Birthday J. H. Wade, a Fieldcrest retiree, cele brated his 76th birthday February 6. He was a weaver at the Blanket Mill before his retirement under the Field crest Pension Plan. He was employed by the company continuously for 34 years and said he “enjoyed every one of them.” He has been retired for over 11 years. Mr. Wade is shown with his youngest grandchild, Janice Wade, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Wade. The father is a picker fixer in the Blanket Mill Wool Picking Department. bowling for one and a half hours each Tuesday afternoon for six weeks and some of them became suprisingly pro ficient in duckpin bowling, Mr. Myers said.
