The Fieldcrest Scholarships, each worth $2,400 over the four years of col lege attendance, are awarded on the basis of academic aptitude, good citizen ship and leadership, and the need for financial assistance in obtaining a col lege education. Barry Byrd will use his scholarship to attend North Carolina State Univer sity at Raleigh and will major in textile technology. Larry Denny will attend the University of North Carolina at Greens boro. He plans to major in mathematics and become a high school and later a college teacher. Jovita Flynn has been accepted at Appalachian State Teachers College. She will major in elementary education and plans to become a teacher. Ronald Mar tin has been admitted to the University of Virginia and will major in archi tecture.
