Group Visits Store
A group of approximately 40 mem
bers of home demonstration clubs in
Amherst County, Va., were recent visit
ors at the Fieldcrest Store, Eden. The
tour of the store was a part of the club
ladies’ educational project on selecting
household linens.
Mrs. Helen C. Feagans, Amherst
County home economics extension agent,
made arrangements for the tour and
accompanied the visitors here.

Customarily, the second vice presi
dent moves to first vice president and
the first vice president to president.
Mr. Whitcomb is a native of Concord,
N. H., and is a graduate of the Uni
versity of New Hampshire.
He joined Marshall Field & Company
in 1936 and when its textile manufac
turing division was sold in 1953, he be
came vice president of Fieldcrest Mills,
Inc. Two months later he became presi
dent and a director and in 1967 was
named chairman of the board.
