Rowe has been awards^ the Bronze Star, having distinguisbe> himself by meritorious achievement an officer of the 389th Tactical Fighter- Squadron while in Vietnam. Capta**' Rowe is the son of Sid Rowe, manage' of the Fieldcrest Service Center, At' lington, Texas. The Karastan Weave Room, with a 21-5 record, won the regular season championship in the Fieldcrest Men’s Softball League. Karastan Shipping and Karastan Office tied for the runner-up position with 17-10 each. In the play-offs, the Karastan Weave Room was undefeated in the four games played. Runner-up for the play-off championship was the General Offices team with 2-2. were presented to the Karastan Weave team as the champion and to the Gen eral Offices team as the runner-up. The presentations were made following the play-offs by “Wink” Hoover and Joe Mitchell, representing the Consolidated Central YMCA. Loretta Roach As awards for the regular season, the Karastan Weave Room received a team trophy and individual trophies for each player. In the play-off awards, team trophies “Well, Doc,” asked the applicant for an insurance policy, “how do I stand?” “I don’t know,” replied the Doc. “It’s a miracle.” Loretta Roach, months old when picture was made, is the daughter of and Mrs. H o w a r Roach, Jr. of Ede"' Route 2.
