ICT Student Columbus Employees Awarded Savings Bonds Shown above are the recipients of U. S. Savings Bonds awarded in draw ings at the Columbus Towel Mill, Co lumbus, Ga. The drawing was held in connection with the recent U. S. Sav ings Bonds campaign at the mill. All purchasers of U. S. Savings Bonds, those already buying bonds plus those who signed up during the campaign, were eligible for the drawing. The bonds were presented by T. H. Sherrill, manager of the Columbus Towel Mill in a ceremony at the mill. Joseph Connelly, assistant superintend ent and Robert Turner, Weave Room foreman, attended the drawing. The recipients shown above left to right, front row, are Shirley Carpenter, Weaving; Sophia M. Newsome, Finish ing; Mary Hill, Finishing; and Florine T. Terry, Weaving; back row, Michael T. McKinney, Information Services; Howard J. Ward, Dye House; William R. Colbert, Weaving; and Edmond C. Cameron, Engineering and Maintenance. Mrs. Judith M. Love of the Finishing Department also received a Savings Bond but is not in the picture. Credit Uniosi Extended To Winchester Plant Membership in the Fieldcrest Mills Credit Union was extended to employees of the Winchester Spinning Corporation, Fieldcrest subsidiary at Asheville, dur ing September and the latest report shows that over 50% of the employees have joined. It is expected that there will be a substantial number of additional mem bership cards turned in during the re mainder of October. In commenting on the credit union. E. L. Ball, personnel manager at Win chester, said; “The employees here seemed very ap preciative of being brought into the Credit Union and we feel that the re sponse was unusually good. “We are confident that the Credit Union will provide many benefits for the people at Winchester and we invite all employees to join if they have not already done so. Those wishing to join should contact their supervisor.” Ronald Poteat Harold Morris, canteen and ware house man, was first Winchester em ployee to join Credit Union.
