The present building on Warehouse Street was erected in 1909. For many years the building was recog nized as outstanding and was able to serve the needs of the smaller popula tion of the period. The need for additional space has become increasingly apparent in recent years and the equipment is known to be entirely out-of-date. Space for parking cars is practically non-existent and land for expansion of outdoor play areas, including space for tennis courts, playing fields and other facilities, is not available near the “Y.” Alter careful study, the board of di rectors has begun the formulation of an organization to obtain a new and modern family YMCA. “It is the desire of the Board to sup- (Continued on Page Six) G.
