Basketball Team Places Second In Tournament
The Draper “Y” girls basketball team
is pictured above with a trophy rep
resenting their runner-up position in the
Junior “Y” Girls Interstate Basketball
tournament. The tourney was held at
Albemarle during March.

Bobby Oakley Receives
Eagle Scout Award
McBride Twins
Duncan Boys
Todd O’Neal and Tina Leigh McBride
are the children of Mr. and Mrs, Tom
mie McBride. The twins are four
years old today, April 14.
Mrs. McBride (Jackie) works in the
Quality Control lab, and Mr. McBride
is a former Fieldcrest employee.
Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. E. C.
McBride, retired Sheeting Mill em
ployees, and Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Hunt
er, Sr.
Clay, 9, and Jimmy Wayne, 8, are
sons of Second Class Gunner’s Mate
and Mrs. William A. Duncan. They are
grandsons of Mr. and Mrs. George Dun
can. Mr. Duncan is employed in the
Blanket Mill Weave Room.
Gunner’s Mate Duncan is currently
stationed at Port Dupont, Md. He is
making a career of the service and has
been in the Navy for 15 years.
His wife, the former Sadie Harris,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Harris
of Ridgeway, Va., formerly worked at
the Sheet Finishing Mill.
