CHERRY Canteen Department Changes Announced Organization changes in the Canteen Department, which became effective June 9, have been announced as fol lows: Bobby R. Brooks was promoted to re gional canteen manager with responsi bility for the operations in Eden and Stokesdale. Russell R. Turner was promoted to regional canteen manager with respon sibility for all locations other than Eden and Stokesdale. Russell D. Cherry, formerly an ac countant in the Payroll Department, was transferred to the Canteen Department and named office manager. Messrs. Brooks, Turner and Cherry report to Roger L. Wilkes, manager of employee benefits and services for Fieldcrest Mills. James Going Awarded Two-Year Fellowship James Hodnett Going has been award ed a two-year fellowship for graduate study at the Institute of Textile Tech nology at Charlottesville, Va. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph C. Going of Eden; his father is superintendent of the Sheeting Mill. Mr. Going graduated from N. C. State University this year with a B.S. degree in textiles. He will enter ITT in Sep tember to begin the two-year course leading to an M.S. degree. The fellowship includes payment Of all tuition and fees and provides $3,600 for living expenses during the nine- month academic period. Fieldcrest Mills, Inc. recently an nounced the new campus scholar® iliiP program at Clemson, North Caro^^^ State University and the Georgia^.^j, stitute of Technology beginning the 1969-70 academic year. The scho^^L m . VlO^ ships are worth $1,000 per year for junior and senior years. The scholarships are awarded on y basis of interest in a textile indus career, academic achievement, cRi^ ship, campus activities and finan^^jj need. The scholarships also carry opportunity for summer employi*'® with Fieldcrest. Mr. Mattox is employed for this mer in the Mechanical Developnr®, Department as a summer manage*’^®^) intern. He begins his junior year Clemson in September, majoring electrical engineering. .j) This coming academic year there be one student at each of the thi schools participating in the progif .
