Larkin, division vice president, Columbus Towels Sales. Lawless Gets Columbus Cup Award Harvey E. Lawless, of the Fieldcrest Marketing Division, has been honored with the Columbus Cup Award which was presented to him by Francis X. Larkin, a division vice president, in the offices of Frank W. Green, president of the division. The Columbus Cup is given annually in recognition of exceptional perform ance in all aspects of account relation ships. Foremost among the considera tions is Columbus towel volume and the percentage of sales increase over the previous year’s volume. In 1970, Mr. Lawless was responsible for a 165% in crease over the previous year. First to win the Columbus Cup in 1966 was David Duncan, followed by Joseph R. Klnnier, Robert K. McGee, Owen C. Due, J. B. Ralph, William A. Barrett and Albert F. Serocke. Mr. Lawless joined Fieldcrest in 1947 and through the years has been active in many areas of the marketing divi sion. In 1966 he was appointed manager, military and distributor sales, the po sition he now holds. He and his fam ily make their home in Freeport, L. I. 7f] Fred M. Sizemore, Jr., pictured at right matching colors in yarn samples, is'general foreman of stock dyeing for the Blanket Operation with responsibil ity for the dyeing of fibers for all of the Blanket Operation and colored yarn for the Woven Operation. He joined Fieldcrest in June, 1947, as a student employee at the Bedspread Mill. From June, 1948, until February, 1954, he served as assistant foreman of the Bedspread Mill Dye Department. In March, 1956, he was made fore man of the Bedspread Dye Department. In September, 1961, he became foreman F. M. SIZEMORE, JR. of Beck Dyeing at the Finishing Mill and in January, 1967, he was appointed fore man of the Blanket Mill Dye House and continues to serve in that capacity.
