Fieldale Employees Play With Bull ML Boys Three long-service employees of the Fieldale Towel Mill combine picking, fiddling and weaving and find it to be a profitable combination. J. L. Williams, Delbert Martin and Baxter Thomas, all employees of the Towel Mill Weave Room, are the original members of the Bull Mountain Boys, a band organized in Patrick County, Va., about 10 years ago. Many of the dances and parties the group played for were in the section of Patrick County located at the foot of Bull Mountain and for this reason they called themselves the Bull Moun tain Boys. About a year ago the Bull Mountain Boys met three young brothers who were playing together as the Scott Brothers. The two groups teamed up and have been playing together since. The Scott brothers are Robert, gui tarist; Donald, who is a student at Fieldale-Collinsville High School and plays the five-string banjo; and Tim my, who plays the mandolin and is a student at John Redd Smith Elementary School. The Bull Mountain Boys have played for dances, horse shows, chicken sup pers and private parties. They have also participated in several fiddlers’ conventions. Named Shift Foreman Teresa Robin Knight Teresa Robin Knight is the six-month- old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Knight. Mr. Knight is an employee of the Canteen Service and Mrs. Knight (Nadine) is a former employee of the Industrial Re lations Department, General Offices. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Emory Knight of Summer- field and Mr. and Luther Harris of Eden. Mrs. Harris (Dorothy) works in the Blanket Ware house Office. Mrs. Robert C. Sharpe has been appointed shift foreman in the Bedspread Mill Yarn Preparation Department. He joined Fieldcrest in June, 1969, as a weaver- in-training in the Bedspread Mill Weave Room. In September, 1969, he became a reg ular weaver and in June, -1970, he be came a supervisory trainee. Mr. Sharpe had previous textile experience with Madison Throwing Company.
