The “Weavers of the Week” are those with the lowest percent of seconds with respect to the standards for the various loom groups. SLAUGHTER DANNY B. LEWIS Changes Announced At Sheet Finishing Mi In new supervisory appointments at the Sheet Finishing Mill, Carson D. Slaughter was named manager-office, warehousing and shipping and Danny B. Lewis was appointed a shift foreman of the Cutting and Sewing Department. Mr. Slaughter was office manager at the Sheet Finishing Mill immediately prior to his new assignment. He joined Fieldcrest in February, 1941, as a server in the Warping Department of the old Rayon Mill. He later worked as a twister hand in the Twisting Department and in July, 1946, was made head supply clerk at the Rayon Mill. Asst. Store Manager Joins Fieldcrest Kristin Borglund has joined the Field crest Advertising and Sales Promotion Department as manager of publicity and sales training, reporting to J. P. Robertson, vice president and director of advertising and sales promotion, Fieldcrest Marketing Division. She suc ceeds Mrs. June Mohler who has return ed to the University of Maryland for her Ph. D. degree in education. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Miss Borglund attended the University of Texas and Ohio State University, from which she graduated with a B. S. de gree in education. Prior to joining Fieldcrest Miss Borg lund taught in Chicago and New York schools before entering the field of sales promotion with the Galey and Lord Di vision of Burlington Industries, Inc. KRISTIN BORGLUND Mrs. Haynes Gets Awards For 40 Years Of Servi' ic« Robert F. Saunders was appointed as sistant manager of the Fieldcrest Store in Columbus, Ga., effective January 1. Mr. Saunders joined Fieldcrest in Au gust, 1969, as stock room supervisor. He previously was employed by ITT Hamilton Management, Inc., as a N. A. S. D. registered representative. He and his wife, Barbara, live in Co lumbus with their two children, Frankie, four, and Robyn, 17 months. Burbee M. Haynes of the Fieldale Towel Mill has completed a 40-year record of continuous service with the company. She has been presented the Fieldcrest 40-year service pin and a letter of commendation from G. Wil liam Moore, president and chairman of Fieldcrest Mills, Inc. Mrs. Haynes was first employed De cember 1, 1930, as an examiner in the Greige Department of the old Hosiery work I® Septe**^ Mill.
