Perfect Attendance Pays Off A brief ceremony was held at the Blanket Mill recognizing two employees with outstanding records of perfect at tendance. Johnnie Barber, a spinning fixer in the Cotton Spinning Department, and Luther Meadows, a fireman in the Blanket Mill Plant Service Department, Clark Among ‘Top 20’ were presented U. S. Savings Bonds in recognition of their remarkable records of perfect attendance on the job. Mr. Barber has worked for nine years without once being absent and Mr. Mea dows has a record of five years of per fect attendance. In the picture above Mr. Barber and Mr. Meadows are presented Savings Bonds from the superintendents of their respective departments at the Blanket Mill. Left to right are Tommy Jefferson, superintendent - cotton card ing and spinning; Mr. Barber, Mr. Meadows and Thomas Spencer, superin tendent of plant service at the Blanket Mill. Joseph B. Clark, Jr. (Monty), gradu ated among the “Top 20” in the School of Communications at Fort Gordon, Ga. He enlisted in the U. S. Army in Sep tember, 1970, and received his basic training at Fort Polk, La. SP-4 Clark is scheduled for overseas duty at the end of his present leave. He is the son of Jean Clark, a long-time employee of the Accounting Department at the Karastan Spinning Mill, Green ville.
