All a plications will be considered as soon a; they are re ceived. The new program cf educational grants, announced in May, is distinct from the Fieldcrest Scholarship pro gram which is competitive, and granted only to employees’ children attonding a four-year college. Recognizing that many individuals can more profitably attend technical institutions or take trade courses than attend a four-year college, Fieldcrest designed the grants to aid employees’ children who wish to attend courses in technical institutes or technical courses such as mechanics, secretarial work or paramedical courses (nursing, med ical technicians, etc.). However, under some circumstances grants can be made to individuals en rolled in a four-year college. The educational grants are non-com petitive and \>'ill be made to children of employees In terms of their financial need and the ability of the individual to successfully pursue a given course of study. The amount of each grant will depend on the financial need of the recipient but can be as much as $1,000 per year. Applications for educational grants may be made through the office of D>r. William McGehee, director of person nel research and development. General Offices, Eden, or additional informa tion may be obtained from his office.
