He is working in the Blanket Mill this
summer and plans to attend the Wake
Forest Law School. He is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. W. Gentry Higgins. His
mother (Nannie ) works in the Cut
ting and Sewing Departm,ent at the
Blanket Finishing Mill and his father
is a former employee of the Blanket
Mill Weave Room.
Ruth Sharon Hylton received her BA
degree in elementary education from
the University of North Carolina at
Greensboro. Her father, John Hylton,
is employed at the Karastan Service
Center and her mother, Ruth, at the
Blanket Warehouse Office. John Hyl
ton, Jr., the graduate’s brother, is em
ployed in Karastan Scheduling.
Cathy Lynn Pruitt graduated from
Western Carolina University with a
BS degree in health and physical ed
ucation. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs.
R. Melvin Pruitt. Her father is general
foreman of the Blanket Greige Mill In
specting Department and her mother
(Lorine) is a clerk in Sheet Finishing
Mill Accounting.
Florence H. Simpson graduated from
Winston-Salem State University with
a BS degree and will be employed in
the Eden school system in the fall. Her
husband, Bobby R. Simpson, is an
employee of the Carding Department
at the Bedspread Mill and her mother,
Lena Mae Hampton, is employed in
the Quilling Department at the Bed
spread Mill.
Linda Thompson received her BA
degree from the University of North
Carolina at Greensboro, where she
was a Dean’s List student. She is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Thomp
son. Her father is a weaver at the
Karastan Rug Mill.
