Dexter Wood Completes (Continued from Page One) ever, she worked in the department many years earlier but her service was not continuous. She has been employed as a wash cloth hemmer during most of her years. Mr. and Mrs. Wood have one child, a daughter, Sherry, who was a Fieldcrest Scholarship recipient and who gradu ated from the University of West Vir ginia with an outstanding record. She is employed as an editor with Worth International Communications Corp. in Hollywood, Fla. Mr. Wood was born in Patrick Coun ty, Va., and lived there until he was Forrest O. Griffin .... Hari-is Karastan 50-Year Record Of Service eight years old, when his family moved to a cattle farm in Montgomery Coun ty. When he was about 13 years old the family moved to Fieldale and lived on what is now Patrick Avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Wood since 1941 have lived near Pleasant Grove where they own their home and 20 acres of land. The entire family are members of the Mount Bethel Methodist Church and Mr. Wood for many years served on the administrative board. When not at the mill Mr. Wood en joys working around the house and in the garden. He and his wife travel to Florida occasionally to visit their dau ghter. Mr. Wood is soon to retire under the Pension Plan and his new leisure time will enable hirrii to devote more time to his church, to his home and garden and to other activities which he enjoys.
