Grayson K. Talbott Completes 40 Years Grayson K. Talbott, a fixer in the Cutting and Sewing Department at the Bedspread Finishing Mill, completed 40 years of continuous service October 26. Mr. Talbott has been presented the Bieldcrest 40-year diamond-and-gold Service pin, a letter of commendation from President William C. Battle, and a $40 gift certificate at the Fieldcrest Store. Mr. Talbott began his record of con- hnuous service with the Company on /^f°ber 26, 1932, as an extractor at he old Bleachery. In December of 1943 he became a waiter in the Bedspread Cutting and Sewing Department. , June of 1951 he became a fixer in hat department and remains in that classification at the present time. Raines, Fieldale personnel manager. Fieldale Contributes To Sight Conservation The Fieldale Community Fund has made a contribution of $500 to the Eye sight Conservation Society of Virginia. A check for that amount was present ed by J. W. Norris, Jr., of the Industrial Engineering Department and a member of the Community Fund Committee, to Everett Franklin, a representative of the Eyesight Conservation Society. Under the Fieldale plan, only one campaign is held in the Fieldale Towel Mill each year. The money raised in the drive is used for the Fieldale Community Fund and other authorized drives. The funds are administered by a com mittee composed of representatives from the various departments of the Fieldale Towel Mill. Other agencies in the Fieldale area Card Of Thanks I would like to thank Dr. Victor Cresenzo, the nurses and staff at Annie Penn Memorial Hospital for their in terest shown me while a patient there. I want to express my appreciation to all of my friends and neighbors for the cards, gifts, flowers, visits and prayers.
