POWELL Draper Sheeting 30 Years 2 Promotions At Greenville Are Announced Jan S. Vincent, formerly general fore man, has been promoted to plant man ager of the Karastan Spinning Mill, re placing Luby M. Skinner who was ap pointed plant manager at the Laurelcrest Yarn Mill. In another organization change at Greenville, Edward Wayne Greene was promoted to superintendent of the Kara stan Worsted Plant. He previously was general foreman at that mill. All three men report to J. Melvin Moore, division vice president-carpet yarn manufacturing for Fieldcrest Mills, Inc. Mr. Vincent, a Greenville native, at tended the Greenville city schools and East Carolina University. He joined Fieldcrest Mills as a quality control technician at the Karastan Spinning Mill in 1965. He served as assistant foreman in the Spinning Department and the Twisting and Winding Department. He was fore man of the latter department until hiS promotion to general foreman in August, 1970. Mr. Greene, who was born at Buchan an, Va., has been with Fieldcrest i'' Greenville since 1961. He was a labora tory technician at the Karastan Spinning Mill before becoming assistant foreman of the Wool Picking Department in 1962’ He has since held supervisory posi' tions in various departments at the Karastan Spinning Mill and the nev'^ Karastan Worsted Mill. At the latter plant, he became a shift foreman August, 1970, and had served as general foreman since April, 1972.
