The most recent group to successfully com plete the course is at the Automatic Blanket Plant at Smithfield where 22 employees received the training on March 13 and 14. To date, the prescribed number of employees in 13 Fieldcrest Mills plus the Wackenhut security force have com pleted the training. Federal regulations require that each mill have a certain number of first aid attendants. The number is determined by the number of employees in the mill and the proxim ity of the nearest medical facility. The mills in which employees have received the new course, which meets the technical standards of the federal Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), are: the Fieldale Towel Mill, Draper Sheeting Mill, Blanket Greige Mill, Sheet Finishing Mill, Bedspread Finishing Mill, Blanket Warehouse, Blanket Finishing Mill, Bedspread Mill, Karastan Rug Mill, Alexander Sheet ing Mill at Forest City, Automatic Angela Overby Angela Overby, 10 months old, is the ”T1 daughter of Mr. and r ‘1 Mrs. Charles Over- i , "s jjy qi Eden. Although Fieldcrest Mills has had trained first aid attendants for many years, OSHA regulations state that all first aid attendants must have com pleted a course developed either by the American Red Cross or the U.
