Another major technological development appears in ai called Chevalure. Here strong multi-color pattern effectj produced in a cut and loop texture as the result of a new 0 process called “Quanta-Color.” Robert V. Dale, vice president of styling and design in tlfil Stan Marketing Division, said Karastan also is re-introdaj Libretto broadloom, which was previewed last summer, inil new color and design treatment. “Agra” Style Rug For the first time since it began its famous “Karastail lection of woven wool Oriental design rugs in 1928, the( is introducing an “Agra” style rug. The pattern was im from an antique handwoven Oriental rug featuring a design of wine reds and olive tones on an ivory gold grounl| “The Agra style Oriental rugs are less known than thtj Persian styles,” Mr. Dale commented. “But it should that the Taj Mahal was built in Agra about the same time till city thrived as one of the main carpet-making centers diniy Golden Age of the Indian carpet in the 16th and early I turies. “We feel that the artistry that created the Taj Mahal is p in the delicacy of this design, one of the prettiest rugs 1 had in our Karastan collection,” Mr. Dale said.
