L RYAN Three Complete Long Service Two Fieldcrest employees recently completed outstanding records of 45 years of service with the Company. They are Dora K. Parrott, a raw materials clerk at the Columbus Towel Mill, and Ruth B. Ramsey, a blanket ticketer at the Blanket Finishing Mill. Another employee has recently completed a fine record of 40 years of service. He is Noah Griffin, a fixer in the Picking Department at the Columbus Towel Mill. Each long service employee has received the appropriate Fieldcrest service emblem, a certificate for Company merchandise equal in dollar amounts to the years of service, and a letter of commendation from president William C. Battle. Mrs. Parrott began continuous service on February 1,1929, as a mill payroll clerk at the Columbus Towel Mill. In 1963, she became an accounting clerk. She was named a raw materials clerk, her present classification, in 1970. Mrs. Ramsey began employment on February 4, 1929, as a folder at the Blanket Finishing Mill. Later that year she was made a sampler. In 1944, she became a blanket ticketer and bagger. She then worked as a blanket stapler, blanket packager and packager, and blanket unloader before becoming a blanket ticketer in 1962. Mr. Griffin began continuous service on February 1, 1934 as a third hand in the Carding Department at the Columbus Towel Mill. In 1968, he became a fixer in the Picking Department and he remains in that classification to the present time. 28 Employees Achieved lOt Job Attendant Fieldcresters Support Bloodmobile Fieldcresters had a prominent part in the successful visit by the Bloodmobile to Eden January 22 when 255 pints were donated — 30 above the quota.
