Miss Crocker plans to attend a North Carolina college after graduation from high school and major in some area of science. Glaucoma Clinic The Eden Lions Club and the Lions of Rockingham County are sponsoring a glaucoma and diabetes clinic which entitles anyone to an examination for glaucoma and diabetes without charge. The clinic, which will continue throughout 1974, is held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the former Municipal Building-Rock- ingham County Health Department, on Boone Road. The procedure, which takes only about 15 minute, is painless. The clinic is being held as a public service by the Lions of Rockingham County. Sixty-eight employees participated in what has become a bi-monthly event. The tournament was held on March 24 at Foxwood Golf course. First place winners were Dick Raddin, Dave Moore, Lindsey Sells, Gib Moore. Second place winners were Carter Simerson, John Legrand, Troy Canning, and Wayne Myers, third place winners were: Gene Barber, Gary Miller, Harry Lee Brinkley, and Henry Hall. The Mulligan tournament was begun over a year ago and has become a very successful event that both management and employees look forward to each time. KAY WEAVER EDfi 185 Karastan Employees Have Perfect Attendance A total of 185 employees of the Karastan Rug Mill and Karastan Service Center achieved per fect on-the-job attendance during the first quar ter of 1974. Members of the perfect attendance group have received recognition in their respective depart ments. In addition, John R. Mauney, division vice president and general manager-Karastan rug manufacturing, and John G. Cunningham, plant manager, Karastan Rug Mill, commend the per fect attendance employees for their interest in their jobs and their dependabihty. “These 185 employees are to be congratulated for their fine attendance records. It takes special effort to be on the job every day and we appre ciate these employees putting forth this kind of effort,” Mr. Cunningham said.
