Madge C. Compton who has
been employed at the Automatic
Blanket Plant, Smithfield, since
June 19, 1961, has been named
department foreman-Receiving-
Supply, effective August 1.
Mrs. Compton has been
employed as a supply records
clerk since December 1, 1961,
and was previously employed as
a blanket boxer in the Packaging
Department.
She is a graduate of Granite
Falls High School and is married
to Niles E. Compton who is
currently serving as pastor of
Pauline Baptist Church, Four
Oaks, N.C., and is also Dean of
Student Affairs at Fayetteville
Technical Institute, Fayette
ville. The couple have 4 children.

An avid golfer since he was 14
years old, Mr. Broadnax says he
plays every weekend and has
played on most of the courses in
the area. He hopes to win more
tournaments in the future, he
said.
