Promotions Announced At Bedspread Mill

In organization changes at the
Bedspread Mill, William A.
Mumpower, Jr., has been ap
pointed superintendent of weav
ing, slashing and quilling and
Gary B. Foust has been named
general foreman of yarn
preparation.

In addition, Wesley W.
Presnell was appointed a
shift foreman in the Yarn
Preparation Department and
Nathan Agee was named a shift
foreman in the Weave Room.
Mr. Mumpower prior to his
new appointment was
superintendent of yarn
preparation, slashing and
quilling. He has been with
Fieldcrest since 1966 when he
was employed as an assistant
foreman in the Winding
Department. He was transferred
to the Weaving Department in
1969 as an assistant foreman and
became general foreman in 1970.
He was appointed superin
tendent of Yarn Preparation in
1973.

David Cook, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Leon Cook of Columbus,
Ga., has been named “Poster
Child” for 1974 for the Bruce
Wilder Chapter of Muscular
Dystrophy Associations. David
is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs.
Ewell Barefoot, both of whom
are employed at the Columbus
Towel Mill.
WESLEY W. PRESNELL
NATHAN AGEE
Fieldcrest since 1971 when he
joined the Bedspread Mill as a
management trainee. He was
named a shift foreman in the
Yarn Preparation Department
in 1972 and continued in that
classification until his latest
promotion.
Mr. Presnell joined the com
pany in January of this year as a
supervisory trainee. He pre
viously had been employed by
Spray Textured Yarn and
earlier had been with Mad
Throwing Company.
Mr. Agee first joined theci
pany in 1948 and was a weave
the Draper Sheeting Mill,
worked briefly at the
Synthetic Fabrics Mill dit
1956. He was employed at
Bedspread Mill as a weave:
1962 and later worked as
overhauler. He had been al^
fixer from 1966 until
promotion to shift foreman,
