Their mother, Harriet, is employed at the Bedspread Finishing Mill. Their father is employed at the Karastan Rug Mill. Grandparents are Badge Washburn and the late Beulah Washburn and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Martin. Mr. Washburn is employed in the Shop at the Central Warehouse. Mr. Martin is employed at the Karastan Rug Mill and Mrs. Martin, Charlotte, is a former employee of Fieldcrest. Patricia Ann Stone, age three, and Billy Stone, Jr., age two, celebrated their birthdays on August 18, at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Stone. Their mother, Shirley, works in the Cut and Sew Department at the Sheet Finishing Mill. Their father works at the Blanket Greige Mill. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Herman Pyron and Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Gee. Mr. Pyron is employed in the Dyeing Department at the Bedspread Mill. Karen Austin, Karastan Burling, relaxes after giving blood. A total of 217 pints of blood were collected at the September 23 Bloodmobile visit at Eden. Of that total, 124 pints of blood were donated by Fieldcrest employees. An additional 16 employees wished to donate, but were unable to do so due to medical reasons. The goal for the visit was 225 pints. This visit was sponsored by the Draper Sheeting and Blanket Greige Mills. Fieldcrest donors from the various mills and departments numbered as follows: Bedspread Finishing, 3; Bedspread Mill, 5; Blanket Greige Mill, 18; Business Infor mation, 5; Finance and Accounting, 2; Executive Management, 2; Industrial Engineering, 2; Karastan, 28; Purchasing, 1; Research and Engineering, 8; Sheet Finishing, 12; Draper Sheeting, 11; and Blanket Finishing 27. The next Bloodmobile visit at Eden will be held on November 22. Gets High School Diploma Bevie W. Raynor, who is employed at the Automatic Blanket Plant in Smithfield, received her high school diploma from Johnston Technical Institute, Four Oaks, in August. She also received a certificate for satisfactorily completing the Management Development Program, Part II, in August. She maintained an “A” average throughout her classes.
