J Craftsmen Will Demonstrate Their Arts At Craftsfair ^ (Continued From Page One) Rosing, a graduate of Syracuse University. Her presentation encompasses a history of metalwork in relation to culture and discussion of contemporary crafts. She will discuss all the various areas of metalwork from blacksmithing to jewelry design and sculpture. She has had five showings of her work in the two years since her graduation from Syracuse. She has also taught at the Smithsonian and is resident silversmith at the Craftsmen of Chelsea Court in Washington, D.C. The weaver is Andrea Uravitch, a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art where she studied under two of the country’s top designer weavers. She is a resident designer- weaver at the Craftsmen of Chelsea Court, Washington, D.C. The potter is William Suworoff, whose presentation outlines historical and contemporary American pottery as well as giving pointers on what to look for when buying ceramics. He is a graduate of the University of Ohio where he studied both ceramics and sculpture. The Craftsfair woodcraftsman is Peter J. Danko, who has a B.A. degree in arts from the University of Maryland. He has also studied sculpture. The quilters are Bryce and Donna Hamilton who have arranged exhibits in a number of cities across the country in an attempt to rekindle an interest in quilting among young people. Mrs. Hamilton is a graduate of the University of Iowa who developed an interest in folk art while in the Peace Corps in Guatemala. The Craftsfair chef is Chris Baumer who was trained by Annemarie Huste, Jacqueline Kennedy’s former chef. At present, he is taking a year off between high school and Princeton University, two months of which is being spent traveling with the Fieldcrest Craftsfair. The banjo player is Bob Fuhr, a native of Long Island who became interested in the banjo at the age of 15 when he inherited one from an aunt. He plays several instruments, has studied voice and has spent two years doing summer-fall-winter-and- spring stock. He also has played in clubs across the country. William Suworoff will demonstrate the art of pottery at the Craftsfair. The Craftsfair metalworker is Nancy Rosing. Peter Danko will demonstrate woodcrafting. “Benji” is in reality Bob Fuhr.
