NCF was nominated for the vard by the Salisbury office of le Employment Security Com- lission. The award will be for lants having 200 or more uployees. A similar award will e given among plants having !ss than 200 employees. The Governor’s Award will be "esented to NCF at a luncheon id ceremony in Raleigh at noon riday, March 28. W. Prior 0 their tour of the manu- acturing facility, the students vere shown two films about Karastan entitled, “The Kara- uoc Story” and “The Thing of Beauty.” The films were shown )y George Hildreth, product engineer. Following the films, J. G. 'Cunningham, plant manager, alked to the group about the various processes involved in the manufacture of Karastan rugs. The students then toured the Design Department with Lance Solaroli, design supervisor, as their guide. In 1975 over 700 million women will be exposed to St. Mary’s products through television participation in the various television game shows.
