They are Edward F. Walser, a shift foreman at the North Carolina Finishing Company division, 45 years; Haden H. Holshouser, a shipping clerk at North Carolina Finishing, 40 years; Robert Dillard, a floor finisher at Eden, 40 years; and Lizzie L. Stegall, a spooler tender at the Blanket Greige Mill, 40 years. Each long service employee has received the appropriate Fieldcrest service pin, a gift certificate for company merchandise equal in dollar amounts to the years of service, and a letter of commendation from President William C. Battle. Mr. Walser began continuous service on March 10, 1930, as a frame operator at North Caro lina Finishing. He performed miscellaneous jobs until 1938 when he became a shift foreman ' '1 j EDWARD F. WALSER in the Sewing Department. From 1966 until 1970 he was a sheeting coordinator in the Finishing Department and was named a shift foreman in the Finishing Department in 1970. Mr. Holshouser began em ployment on February 25, 1935. Working virtually all of his 40 years in the Warehouse at North Carolina Finishing, he has worked a a clerk, assistant head Reba Myers Named To New Post In Karastan Design Effective March 1, Reba H Myers was appointed to succeed Arthur G. Lewis as director of design for the Rug and Carpet Division. Mr. Lewis has retired under the Fieldcrest retirement program. Mrs. Myers reports to James E. Dougherty, director of technical services in the Rug and Carpet Division and all personnel previously reporting to Mr. Lewis report to Mrs. Myers. A native of Rockingham County, Mrs. Myers has been associated with the Karastan Rug Mill for 36 years. She first worked as a setter during the summers between school years. Her continuous service dates from 1935 when she was em ployed as a setter. She became a copyist in the Design Department three years later reba H. MYERS and in 1966 was promoted to master designer. Mr. Dillard began continous service on March 4, 1935, as a yard cleaner at the Blanket Warehouse. He worked as a yard cleaner at the Karastan Rug Mill and as a scrubber at the Blanket Warehouse before becoming a floor finisher in 1941. He worked briefly as a janitor before again becoming a floor finisher in 1968. Mrs. Stegall began employ ment at the Blanket Greige Mill on March 13,1935, as a learner in the Ring Spinning Department.
