Terrance Keith Lester,
years old, recently received a
number of awards from Holmes
Junior High School where he
has completed his freshman
year. He was awarded
certificates in football, wrestling
and track, elected captain of the
wrestling team, presented a gold
athletics medal, honored for
having three consecutive years
(7th , 8th, and 9th grades) of per
fect attendance, and recognized
for being the best-dressed boy in
the ninth grade.
He also had received athletics
certificates and trophies in the
seventh and eighth grades and
had received perfect attendance
awards in both grammar and

The Board of Commissioners
of The Housing Authority of the
City of Phenix City, Ala.,
recently unanimously adopted a
resolution thanking Emmett
Fulgham, an employee of the
Columbus Towel Mill, for his
“untiring efforts on behalf of his
fellow citizens.”
Mr. Fulgham is a millwright
in the Plant Service Department
at the Columbus Towel Mill. He
is married to the former Doris
Davidson and they have four
children and seven grand
children. He and his family are
members of Pleasant Hill
Baptist Church.

Karastan Rug Mill.

In addition to his job, his
family, and his community
efforts, Mr. Fulgham is an avid
sportsman. In recent years he
has directed his efforts toward
the breeding and showing of
champion “coon dogs,” and his
trophy case is filled with every
kind of award that can be won by
championship dogs.
