Dickerson Are Champs
RAY PRUITT, right, of the Draper Sheeting Mill is Fieldcrest’s
champion filling doffer. He defeated Babe Kimbrell of the Alexander
Sheeting Mill in last week’s inter-mill championship bout. He will
represent the company in the filling doffing division of the National
Superdoffer Tournament in Greenville, S. C.
A doffer at the Sheeting Mill since November, 1973, Ray is mar
ried to the former Betty Fulton. The couple has three children,
Darlene Elizabeth, Ray .Jackson, Jr., and Robert Lee. The Pruitts
live on Route 3, Eden.

On To Greenville
PHILLIP DICKERSON, left, of the Bedspread Mill, proved last
week that he is still Fieldcrest’s fastest warp doffer. He defeated
Tracy Gilbert of Alexander Sheeting for the company champion
ship and will now go on to the National Superdoffer Tournament to
to be held in Greenville, S. C., in April.
A Fieldcrest employee since 1971, Phillip’s doffing experience
goes back eight years. He previously was a doffer at Spray Cotton
Mills. He is married to the former Shirley Ring of Eden and the
couple have three children, Debbie, Randy and Sherry. The Dicker-
sons live on Route 1, Eden.
