Mr. and Mrs. Wray at retirement dinner John S. Wray, who recently retired from the Bedspread Mill, was honored by some of his former fellow employees at a banquet at the Mar Gre Restaurant. During the banquet. Overby Children the Bedspread employees presented Mr. Wray with a gold watch. A supply clerk on retirement, Mr. Wray had worked at Fieldcrest for 44 years, 20 of which were continuous service. He had worked as a quill collector, inspector server and weaver at the Blanket Greige Mill. Starting in 1955 at the Bedspread Mill he worked as a weaver, sample and change man and for the past six years as a supply clerk. Anthony Hampton, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Hampton, celebrated his 10th birthday on January 29. His mother, Iverytene,is employed in the Weave Room at the Draper Sheeting Mill. Maternal grand parents are Ivery Hairston of the Karastan Rug Mill and Della Hairston of the Karastan Service Center. Carlton Jack Burgart, Jr., was one year old on February 7. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Jack Burgart, Sr., of Eden. The father is employed in the Mechanical Development Department at the Karastan Rug Mill. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Tom Spencer, Mrs. Schley Burgart and the late Mr. Burgart. Mr. and Mrs. Spencer are employed at the Blanket Greige Mill and Mr. Schley Burgart was employed in the Plant Service Department at the Karastan Rug Mill. and Larry Overby are of Mr. and Mrs. Freddie They are the grandsons I ' and Mrs. John (Jack) Wyatt. Mr. Wyatt is a retired employee of the Spinning Department at the Blanket Greige Mill.
