Joseph L. Connolly, Karastan’s
manager of customer services
and warehousing.
“Certain of these items, such
as discontinued styles,
previously were disposed of
through other distribution chan
nels and we are pleased that
through this sale company em
ployees and retirees now have
the opportunity to purchase
them,” Mr. Connolly said.
He emphasized that the sale is
for employees and retirees only
and that identification will be re
quired. However, an
“Authorization for Rug or
Carpet Purchase” (Forni FCO-
13) will not be necessary.
Fieldcrest employees will
receive Swine Flu inoculations
at their respective mills but the
schedules have not been
determined, according to Dr.
Charles G. Young, corporate
medical director.
The company must obtain the
vaccine from the county health
department at each location.
Since the health departments
themselves do not yet know
when it will be available,
schedules cannot be determined
at this time. Dr. Young said.
Employees will be notified by
mill notices and in The Mill
Whistle when the shots will be
offered.
Immunization of employees
against the Hong Kong flu has
already been completed at all
locations. Dr. Young said.
