William Fraser, Jr., vice president-finance and treasurer of Fieldcrest Mills, Inc. and other company officials participated in the signing ceremony at the North Carolina National Bank in Charlotte. Mr. Fraser said Fieldcrest had utilized bond financing to underwrite a $4.8 million plant expansion in Alabama and a $1 million expansion in Georgia. He said the NCF project was the company’s first to utilize bond financing for pollution abate ment. “As a North Carolina firm, we (Continued on Page Seven) The Industrial Relations Department became a standout in the Eden United Fund campaign when 100 percent of the employees contributed on the Fair Share basis. Industrial Relations was the only major unit, staff or manu facturing, with a 100 percent Fair Share record last year and this year. Runners-up in the campaign just ended were the Plant Engineering Department with 97.5 percent Fair Share contributors and the Industrial Engineering and Distribution Department in which 97.2 percent of the employees pledged a Fair Share. Xmas Parties Set For Dec. 12 “Franklin and Company” will present magic and entertain ment at the Christmas parties for the children of Fieldcrest employees at Eden and Fieldale Sunday afternoon, December 12. The Fieldale party will be held in the auditorium of the Fieldale- Collinsville High School at 2 p.m. The Eden party will be held in the Morehead High School audi torium at 4 p.m. Employees may request tickets from their supervisors starting Monday, December 6. The request should be made promptly and should be for only the number of tickets that will actually be used.
