3 3 I 4 Parties In Various Locations Herald Christmi Company-sponsored Christ mas festivities took a variety of forms for employees and em ployees’ children. The children’s parties and other events varied from location to location. Giant Christmas parties for the children of employees were held at Eden and Fieldale, Va., in the Morehead High School auditorium and the Fieldale-- Collinsville High School auditorium, respectively. Franklin and Company, of Winston-Salem, presented magic and entertainment, in cluding audience participation. A musical program was presented by Mamie Dickson of the Sheeting Mill Accounting Department and Harold Squires of the Draper Industrial Engineering Department. They also led the children in the singing of Christmas songs. W.O. Stone, division vice president-rug and carpet manufacturing, was master of ceremonies at the Eden party. He welcomed those attending and extended ■ Christmas greetings from the general management of the company. At the conclusion of the program, supervisors and other mill officials distributed Christmas stockings filled with candy bars to the children under 13 years of age. Santa Claus was on hand to greet the children. At the North Carolina Finishing Company, a fried chicken dinner was served to employees on all three shifts. Santa Claus visited and provided (candy canes along with the idinner. Mill officials helped to Iserve the food to the employees.
