Happenings... Father And Son Share Golfer’s Dream Two Fieldale employees, Tom Foley and his son, Tim, have had a golfer’s dream come true. After playing golf for only a few years, each of the Foleys hit a hole- in-one in 1976. Tim started his spring off right when he made a hole-in-one on March 20 at the eighth hole at Gordon Trent Golf Club in Stuart, Va. Not to be outdone by his son, Tom Foley caught up a few months later by sinking his hole-in-one in October. His dream came true on the second hole at Linwood Country Club in Martinsville, Va. The proud father and son golfers had their lucky golfballs mounted on trophy plaques as souvenirs of the special occasions. Both men work in the Slashing Room at Fieldale Towel Mill in Fieldale, Va.
