TONI CAROL WILLIAMS, daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wil-
liams, Is graduating from North
Rowan High School, Salisbury, as
an honor student. Her mother,
Martha, works In the Laboratory at
North Carolina Finishing Company.
She is the granddaughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Perry. Mr. Perry
works In the Grey Room at NCF.
The daughter of a weaver at
Fieldale Towel Mill has been
selected from a number of nominees
to receive a scholarship to pursue a
career in secretarial science.
Miss Linda Gail Thomas,
daughter of Baxter Thomas,
recently was named recipient of a
$100-per-quarter scholarship from
the Blue Ridge Chapter of the
National Secretaries Association to
attend Patrick Henry Community
College in Henry County, Va. and
study secretarial science.
Miss Thomas, a graduating senior
at G. W. Carver High School, was
nominated for the award by her high
school business teacher. She also is a
member of the school’s Future
Business Leaders club.
