Martin, a yarn order filler at Karastan Rug Mill, has achieved 45 years of continuous service with the company and has been presented a 45-year service emblem, a $45 gift certificate for company merchandise and a letter of commendation from William C. Battle, president of Fieldcrest Mills, Inc. She began work at Fieldcrest in 1932 as a setter in the Pattern Set Department at Karastan and later became a scheduler clerk at that mill.
