BENJAMAN MINTER
Benjaraan Minter, a filter operator
at Fieldale Towel Mill, has been
honored by management on com
pletion of an outstanding record of 40
years of continuous service. He has
received the Fieldcrest 40-year ser
vice emblem, a $40 gift certificate
for company merchandise and a
letter of commendation from
William C. Battle, president of
Fieldcrest Mills, Inc.
Starting as a cleaner at the old
hosiery mill in 1937, he later was a
knitter at that mill. He has held the
jobs of learner, cloth hauler, loom
cleaner and weaver in the Weave
Room at the towel mill.
Oops!
Two areas at the Blanket Finish
ing Mill were inadvertently omitted
from the list of 100 percent Fair
Share departments published in the
November 8 issue of The Mill
WHistle. They were Print Shop and
Film Bag Department. The Mill
Whistle apologizes for this omission.
