J Happenings... Retiree’s Son Helps Others To Cope With Stress, Anxiety Floyd McCullouch, the son of a retired Fieldcrest employee, was recently featured in the “Goldsboro News Argus” for his work in behavior modification at Cherry Hospital; Goldsboro, N. C. McCullough teaches relaxation training to patients and staff at Cherry Hospital and also to audiences all over the state, the article said. “Relaxation training is a systematic technique of learning to identify muscular tension and then going through a series of relaxing FLOYD MCCULLOUCH these muscles to relieve tension,’' McCullouch is quoted as saying. McCullouch has undergraduate degrees from Rockingham Com munity College, Atlantic Christian College, and a masters degree in rehabilitation counseling from East Carolina University. He completed postgraduate training at the University of Virginia, the University of Tennessee, and the New Jersey Neuro-Psychiatric Institute. His training encompasses such varied areas as behavior modification, assertion, management, and psy chiatric training. He began at Cherry Hospital as a counselor in the alcoholic rehabilitation pro gram. McCullouch’s father, Bill McCullouch, is a retired employee of the Bedspread Mill. In the article, McCullouch talked about his father. “One of my major goals in life is to achieve the stability and dependability of the man I admire most in the world, and that is my father Bill,” he said. McCullouch is married to Carolyn Hathoway McCuUouch and they have one daughter, Bess. His sister, Bobine Dalton, is employed at the Sheet Finishing Mill, Cut and Sew Department. Look Out, Dear (Er, Deer)! Several employees at Swrift Spinning Mills have taken advantage of the deer hunting season in Georgia. Hunting is a family sport for Kenny and Sue McNair. Kenny, first-shift employee in the Winding Department, was proud of the deer he shot until his wife, Sue, who works third shift in the Spinning Department, brought home a bigger one. Carl Johnson, first-shift packer in the Winding Department, had the honor of bagging two four-point deer in one day. Garland Wins 10-Speed Bike Daphne Garland, seven, recently won a 10-speed bicycle in a Kellogg’s contest for her drawing of “Tony the Tiger” eating breakfast. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobbie Garland of Eden. Her mother, Vi vian, works in the Cut and Sew De partment at the Sheet Finishing Mill. Her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivery Hairston, are employees at Karastan Rug Mill. DAPHNE GARLAf^ These Didn't Get Away!
