Ila Krantz Is Newest 50-Year Club Member
Ila S. Krantz was welcomed into Fieldcrest’s 50-Year Club on Wed
nesday, April 26, at a luncheon at Meadow Greens Country Club,
Eden. Fourteen members of the 50-Year Club along with a number of
the company’s management attended the luncheon.
Mrs. Krantz, a sewer corner tacker at the Blanket Finishing Mill, be
gan employment at the Blanket Warehouse on April 23, 1928. She has
worked at the Blanket Finishing Mill since 1935.
W. G. Hunnings, group division vice president-Bed Fashions Manu
facturing, spoke briefly, outlining Mrs. Krantz’s outstanding contribution
to the company and also that of her family.
H. H. Newton, vice president-industrial Relations, introduced each
member of the club present and-conducted the drawing for the door
prize, which was won by Josie Taylor.
A. L. Jackson, senior vice president, presented Mrs. Krantz with the
Fieldcrest 50-Year pin, letter and check. He also read a telegram from
W. C. Battle, president of Fieldcrest Mills, Inc., congratulating Mrs.
Krantz and expressing regret at being unable to attend the luncheon.
Club member Ailie Houchins read a prayer to the group.
