Brethren we want you to know that we
appreciate the excellent attendance at the
meetings of our Lodge during the past
month. Your officers have had a pretty
full month in degree work and such at
tendance helps greatly. It is our desire
to make our meetings worth your while
and any suggestions you have to offer as
to programs will be appreciated and con-'
sidered. See the line up below of what
you may expect next month. The order
of things is changing and it seems that
something new comps up at nearly every
meeting to claim our interest. Bro. J. T.
Mitchell, J. "W., has consented to act as
correspondent temporarily and I shall
appreciate any help you may give him in
getting together the news of Hiram
Lodge.

April 15—Stated Business
We expect to confer the second degree
on March 18th, but this is subject to
change. However, the entertainment will
he held on April 1st. If you miss this
one you will regret it as this program has
never been attempted in our Lodges in
Raleigh. We are anticipating a large
attendance at this meeting. There will
very likely be a special communication for
third degree som,e time this month.

Bro. Thos. W. Ruffin was elected to
membership by dimit from Louisburg No.
413, Bro. Ivey O’Neal Brady from Wake
Forest No. 283 and Bro. Geo. W. Leonard
from Greenville No. 284. Welcome to our
midst, brethren. Come up and look us
over. We are glad to have these brethren
affiliate with us and invite all resident
Masons not affiliated with either of the

Appointed Grand Treasurer of the Grand
Lod]?e of N. C. December 13, 1917, and served
continuously as such until date of his death.
Was a member of Ncuse Lodge No. 97; for
merly a member of Wm. G. Hill 218 and was
Master of this Lodge 1896-1897,
Raised in St. Albans Lodge No. 114, A. F.
& A. M., Lumberton, N. C, Admitted to
membership in Raleigh Lodge No. 500 July
19, 1907.
From the Master
It is my earnest desire and request that
our brethren attend not only our own
meetings hut that they attend, whenever
possible, the meetings of our sister Lodges
as well. This tends to promote good fel
lowship and a reciprocative interest in
our own Lodge from the members of our
sister Lodges. We are now pulling
together as Raleigh Masons, and this can
be done and at the same time maintain
the individuality of the three Lodges.

The First Degree was conferred on
March 11th.
We have in waiting for degree: 1st
Degree, 3; 2nd Degree, 2, and for the
special communication on April 10th we
expect to have two candidates waiting.
It is hoped the brethren will lend their
presence to these meetings, as it encour
ages the officers and inspires the candi
dates.
The Raleigh Masonic Board of Relief.
The Master of Wm. G. Hill Lodge has
been actively in charge during the past
four months. The three Masters of the
Lodges of Raleigh share this work during

I think the first issue of The Tkes-
TLEBOARD is a grand success and proves
what can be done if we are willing to
really put something into our Masonry.
Now that this paper is a reality, it is
very important that every member of our
Lodge be on the lookout and report any
thing that is of interest. Bro. J. L. Pea
cock has accepted the Correspondent’s
position for Raleigh Lodge, for which we
should be grateful. All items for The Tres-
TLEBOARi) should be in his hands by the 8th
of each month in order to appear in that
month’s issue. Be sure and keep in touch
with him because he, nor anyone else, can
fill this job without hearty support from
every member. Our klasojiic year is
rapidly drawing to a close. Have you
been to your Lodge this year? We have
had some wonderful meetings and you
have missed something by not attending.
We are going to have something that will
interest you next meeting, so be sure to
come.

the brethren who are learning the work.
