On Tuesday, the dress code -for the day was "Tacky Tourist"; Wednesday was "Formal Day", Thursday was "Hall Dress Alike Day", and Friday, everyone will display their spirit by wearing the school colors. This added spirit to Homecoming and got everyone involved in all o-f the ac tiVities. Out o-f all the activities that are going on this week, we shouldn't -forget to give God praise in everything we do. Sometimes we can get so carried away with what's happening around us, we don't pay attention to what's really important in our lives. There will be a lot o-f laughter this weekend, maybe a -few tears, good -fellowship with old friends who have moved on to other things, and probably a lot of new friends. We need to let God be the center of this Homecoming celebration, and i f we do that, we are sure to have a fantastic time. One of the best things about Homecoming weekend is that many sophomores will be visiting a lot of their friends from last year. Alumni are still a big part of Montreat-Anderson, and this weekend, there will be many activities just for them; Saturday morning at 10:00, there will be an Alumni Association Meeting in Gaither- Chapel. At 1:00, an alumni indoor picnic will be held for them. Of course, the ball game will be a big event for alumni assembly in Gaither Chapel at 7:30. At 8:15, there will be an ice cream social. Alumni of the four-year- college will be honored at this event. The SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS charoe for this is $1,00 per person. The Homecoming Dance should be a great time of fellowship and "catching up" with old friends. It will also be a great time for students to meet some of the alumni of former years. The weekend will be windino down with Sunday School’at 9:30 a.m. (Alumni Sunday School taught by Dr. Alan Sparks) and the worship service in Gaither Chapel. Dr. Calvin Thielman will be delivering the morning message. The afternoon will be a "winding down" time, where all of the alumni will say goodbye and look forward to another great Homecoming in 19861 W.
