The Dean met about four teen different people on the facul ty and administrative stadfs in a matter of two very enjoyable days. After he got home M-AC offered him the position! “One of the things that helped us know the Lord was leading us in this direc tion was the support from family and friends,” said Dean McDowell. If any of the above wasn’t enough “proof in the pudding,” the McDowell’s house sold the first day it was on the market, to the first buyer, who bought it for the asking price. “This was a special blessing from the Lord because it freed our minds for all the other problems we would have to face when moving cross-country,” said Dean McDowell. Although Dean McDowell is still trying to observe and get to know his surroundings at M-AC he has some views on education in general. He hopes every student will “catch the vision” God has for them and realize that God gives everyone their own unique talents to use for Him. He also hopes in the future to see M-AC provide all the tools possible to help our students Integrate Chris tian teaching and the political, ethical, zmd economical decisions they face now and will face in the future. The McDowell family Is enjoy ing the slower pace of life here at Montreat and the friendliness of the people here. They add, “The students are terrific!” Getting to know Dean McDowell would be a great idea for any stu dent at Montreat-Anderson Col lege.
