This fall, the International Club added seven new members bringing our total number to twenty-five. The countries represented in the club are: The Bahamas, Canada, China, Ethiopia, Finland, Great Britain, Holland, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Sonralia, South Africa and Zaire. Most of the International Students enter M-AC having some serious language problems, however, with the loving care and help of teachers and other Americn students, they improve tremendously. The principal objective of the club is to attempt to make the stay of every foreign student a most exciting one despite the multitude of obstacles they are faced with. As a club, we try to live together, have regular meetings, entertain ourselves and share our experiences. Apart from the many differences that we have, we always strive to learn to respect and love one another, not descriminating on the basis of religion, geographic origin, culture, tradition, skin pigmentation or sex. We believe God is the Father of us all and we are here to enrich ourselves spiritually so that we might further this purpose wherever we will be in future. Most of us are "walking history books." I say this because we have first-hand information about our countries. We come from different countries with different climates, education structures, political sophisticates, ecomonic ups and downs. and time-saving than reading stale, diluted, and falsified information from a book. Our itenerary for this year is filled with a whole lot of indoor and outdoor activities which we hope will not only facinate foreign students, but all M-AC students. Among other things, we have a Bible study every Monday at 6:00 p.m. in the prayer room (BCC) and doors are open to anyone who wishes to come by and share with us. To American students who might be anxious to know more about our backgrounds and countries, please "hesitate ye not"-come by and let's chat. Pizza Express 1 WORD SEARCH ^ By MARK NEIL Here's a puzzle for you to try. In it you will find all the books of the Old Testament. They could be backwards, diagonal, horizontal, vertical and of course Just under your nose as a plain old word. To make it more of a challenge we have hidden the names of all four bible professors, the author's name is also hidden and the Aletheia's name appears as. well. If you are one of the first FIVE people to bring the completed puzzle to Pizza Express at the Food Lion Plaza, you will receive a FREE LARGE PEPPERONI AND CHEESE PIZZA complements of Pizza Express and The Aletheia. This contest is open to all CURRENT M-AC students and I.D. will be required for redemption. etc. As a result of all these differences, we usually take a long time to get ourselves fully adjusted in the United States. Through the eyes and lips of others, we learn a lot about the world beyond our precincts. To me, talking to an international student about his/her country is more convenient NE S R S E R KN S T A OS O NHR G AH OI E F RA S AS OHA ;l ce OEE MZH O AV N I L T I R N TU V GB N S I I S ET G D UJ E I LD N D S N N C UO E MAP B C AO L R S I K H I I U N R A K H NG K I NG A T T A B A NH A A NO H E VC A E EL R C S B T I HH H S AI S AI C HR J ON OI T B XL J T E NOE APE HE Y UE A MI S SOB EPS R I N NI H E NO A Z L RUN GL A E HT S E L C ON I C AHGH AT NE L U E M Z R A N S T E R Z E K I L O U H D H A C YI OU ADI A AL MS I A MZ A I ME C C Y I Y AHD S O NF S S F O ELAN C E MO L E S H OS E A MAL I OME M OU V E AE I H E L T E CYI N I MC E AOU W HN S T ROTO YR C N R E J J HT WA AUL O OE T F R D H A VUE F WIN FREE PIZZA!I!
