The General Assembly Singers
The music department of Montreat-Anderson Col
lege will present a Spring Concert, Friday, April 27,1990,
8:00 p.m. in Gaither Chapel on the college campus of
Montreat. The program will consist of a variety of styles and
types of sacred music performed by the Concert Choir and
the General Assembly Singers, under the direction of Dr.
Bob Neil, Chairman of the music department. Selections by
the General Assembly Singers will include two a cappella

as well as several contemporary Christian pieces. The
Concert Choir’s selections will include “He Watching
over Israel, form Mendelssohn’s Elijah and a con
temporary setting of the Gloria, to be performed in
Latin. Other selections will include vocal soloists,
tmmpet, flutes, and/or handbells. Accompanist for
the choir is Mr. Thomas S. Stierwalt of the college
music faculty. The concert is free of charge and open
to the public.
