Maybe you've won dered what Hawaiians do for entertainment. On Monday night, August 27, Hawaii came south to Montreat with an authentic luau. The event was com plete with stir-fried chicken, fried rice, and a fresh fruit platter. Sev eral students dressed in authentic garb like "grass" skirts and leis, while others donned bright floral prints. Beach music and a limbo contest brought a hint of authenticity in entertain ment. The winner of the limbo contest, Becky Brown, a freshman from Warren, NC, when asked where she learned tolimbostated, 'IFsbom in me, but 1 can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me. " She is not new to the game though, she was also the limbo champ at her high school graduation party. David Hartman, Mark Tucker, and Scott Ward commented on the unusual entree of Chi nese food at a luau. The girls on the fourth floor of M-A hall, all agreed the luau was great fun and an excellent way to start the school year, even if it was a little hot outside.
