Don^t worry if you can't go to Indianapo lis for this excitement, because this place is found in your own back yard. East Asheville. Fun Wheels is on Highway 70 lo cated right next door to Hardees. Careful, it can be easy to miss. Fun Wheels has three parts to it's es tablishment: the race track, the bumper boats and the arcade. First the race track. IP s a very extraordinary track including six curves, weaving left to right to test the real race car drivers. And to increase the compe tition, between you and your friends. Fun Wheels has taken four of the curves and made them oily so that it catches even the calm est driver off guard. You have a wide vari ety of different colors of cars to pick from. After picking your car, you situate yourself behind the wheel of a screaming five horse power beast. IPs a tight fit but that adds to the excitement. Wait for the green light, push the gas pedal (on your left) and put your pedal to the metal! You would think this amount of fun would cost an even greater amount of money, but not so. For three dol lars and fifty cents you get six minutes, which is approximately eighteen laps. Also, show your Montreat- Anderson College I.D. and the attendant will tack on a few extra minutes. After that, if you are still feeling adven turous, head to the bumper boats. These small motor inner- tube boats float on top of a pool of water. The object being to knock into other friends with your boats. Don't fret, you will not get sea sick, you do however bob around and get very wet so be pre pared. And if none of these activities ap peals to your sense of adventure, just go in side for the arcade. There are not many arcade games to choose from, but they do have some of the well known names such as Off-Road (iPs good). Tetris, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles andAfter-Bumer. And not to worry, they have the claw game where you have the metal claw and try to win yourself or your sweetheart a cute stuffed animal. Fun Wheels is a great place whether you're driving a car. bumping a boat, or just relaxing at an arcade game. Go and see for yourself who knows you could be the next Richard Petty!
